In this article, Cécilia Ho reflects on her artistic dialogue with Robert Cahen and on the process that gave rise to Porous Instant. Beyond the diversity of their media, she reveals the ways in which their work resonates around themes of time, memory, traces and the fragility of presence. Supported by FUQIAO’s curatorial work, this collaboration led her to revisit earlier works and conceive new forms. She thus demonstrates how two distinct artistic languages, without imitating or merging with one another, can open up a shared space for creation and transformation.
